Music Lessons for Piano, Violin, and Guitar

Our unique small-group lessons (3-4 students), provide a friendly and encouraging atmosphere for kids age 6 and up to learn music. Students love learning alongside their peers! 60-minute lessons allow for a variety of musical activities, keeping students focused and engaged. Concepts are reinforced by playing creative musical games, and participating in group activities. Students in small-group lessons enjoy all of the benefits of group learning while still receiving plenty of individual attention from the teacher.

- Small group lessons are 60 minutes long and are limited to 3-4 students per group.

Tuition for small-group lessons is $150 a month, and includes weekly 60 minute lessons and the opportunity to participate in two workshops, two recitals, and a summer concert each year.

Piano, Violin, and Guitar Lesson Details:

For younger students and beginners, most weeks look like this:

- Group instruction

- Lab practice and individual lesson time - each student receives individual instruction, feedback, etc.

- Group game to reinforce concepts, work together, and have fun!

For older students, and students who have reached a late beginner/early intermediate level, 3 students share an hour lesson rotating between the following stations:

20 minutes private lesson

20 minutes guided practice and/or ensemble playing

20 minutes theory/ear training/composing work

Students also play group games and play as an ensemble.

When they are ready, students will be invited to transition to a 75 minute lesson, including private lesson time, guided practice, theory/ear training, and ensemble playing.

Songwriting Lessons

Discover the joy of songwriting and self-expression! Students learn composition, basic music theory, and how to sing, harmonize, and accompany themselves on the instrument or instruments of their choice (piano, guitar, ukelele, mandolin, accordion, etc). Students compose their own songs, and develop melody, lyrics, and chords. Lessons are tailored to each individual student's existing skill-set, and interests.
